ConservationSpace Creates Partnership with IIIF

During the development of ConservationSpace 2.0 the developer and the partners approached the International Image Interoperability Framework IIIF to forge a relationship that would help both ConservationSpace and the IIIF with developing tools for image annotation. It is a "win-win" for all concerned with the Sirma Group, the developer for ConservationSpace providing programming to create needed imaging annotation features and for the IIIF community who work on the software through open source community development. Scholars who use the image comparison software for comparing manuscripts will appreciate having the means to create a broad variety of marks on an image and add text comments when doing research. For a comprehensive view of how the Mirador, the open source image viewing platform functions, visit the Mirador website to see an in-depth look at the features.
